Biography

Gaetano di Miceli, son of the late Michaelangelo Miceli and Leoluchina Rizzo, marries Concetta Mangiameli, daughter of Mercurio Manciameli and Serafina Friia, on 18 February 1798.^[1] I estimate he is born around 1778, twenty years before he marries.

Gaetano and Concetta have at least three children: Michaele (c. 1800), Leoluchina (c. 1805), and Calogero (c. 1809).

I estimate Michaele is born within a couple years of his parents' marriage. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

I estimate Leoluchina is born around 1805, twenty years before she marries. Leoluchina is named after her paternal grandmother.

Leoluchina marries Antonio Troia, a widower, on 14 February 1825.^[2]

Calogero is 30 when he marries Emmanuela Cascio, a widow, on 20 March 1839. His parents are living at this time.^[3]

Michaele marries at least twice, first to Francesca Manicchia. He remarries to Vincenza Marino on 3 May 1841.^[4]

Calogero dies at age 54 (b. 1809) on 7 December 1863. Emmanuela survives him.^[5]
